This weekend was filled out plenty! 3 shows, including one or two very, very emotional with many tears ... But the musical marathon has begun rather funny!
But now to the actual topic ... As the play probably would not be as well known here, first the usual:
What's this?
First of all - The play was not listed as a musical, but it was a concert version that was recorded along with the Radio Orchestra of the WDR. Am 12.03. at 20:05 clock then the live recording on the radio WDR 4 (no comment) is broadcast.
But even if it's a concert ... Musical performers sing not simply ;-) First of all participants were in Western costumes on stage and then was naturally drawn to facial expressions and gestures from the solid.
The story between the songs by Christian Brückner (German voice of Robert DeNiro and Robert Redford and speaker of many audio books) summarized narrative.

The second highlight of the evening was once again Jana Stelley as Ado Annie. In this piece, she was quite the happy bundle of energy and so there was plenty to laugh and to grin.
that her mood is contagious, you could see also the other actors. So she seduced again and again even the somewhat timid acting Patrick Schenk of the role of Will Parker sang, sit still on the songs and dance. Patrick Schenk has pleased me look good. Vocally, he was okay, but he really blew me honestly do not. Partly it was a bit "thin" over, but maybe that's just the comparison to the other Patrick. The role fit any event great with him.

Ali Hakim was played by Ethan Freeman - that is a third argument is the concert not to miss . let Unfortunately, he had very little to sing the role and as such was not my case, but Ethan has his job (as always) well done!
Regina Lemnitz is the German voice of Whoopi Goldberg and a great actress. She played Aunt Eller, and I really enjoyed very good!
Desirée Brodka and Wilfried van den Brande as Laurie and Jud were vocal and facial really very good. Unfortunately, both have sung very classical. This is clearly a matter of taste and just because it is simply not my case, it does not mean that it was bad. On the contrary. Both have demonstrated real skills ... only I can unfortunately is not so much start.
Christian Brückner just has the perfect voice and visual storyteller, he also fit perfectly into the picture. Somehow he has made in reading more comic movements - I was occasionally distracted a little, but great read. No wonder he so deserves his money!
costumes and stage
In the photos you can see it only partially, but the performers were all dressed role justice. Patrick was wearing jeans and a vest and a pistol in the holster and had now and then send his cowboy hat on his head.
Jana wore a denim dress and boots and Desiree had thrown in cowboy boots and Western outfit. By the costumes got the whole more musical character, and even if it was-as I said, just a concert recording with audience, so one could imagine the story yet. The stage ... well, actually there were any because the performers have shared the stage with the huge orchestra and choir. But they had the edge but some cacti built around the whole of the corresponding Western touch to give.
The audience
I usually do at such events are rather older term represented. So at the beginning came the announcement that they should please make the phones silent and the plea hearing set accordingly so that it would not for technical difficulties.
This time it was but since so no WDR 4 audience, but, original sound of an older lady very much young vegetables. Well ... soooo I was extremely young "Us" now, but "around 30" from different points of view, of course, can be either very old or very young ... :)
Conclusion:
Overall, a fun evening. Grade Patrick and Jana have made the concert into an experience elsewhere and I'm not having bad drum again met a "new" piece in fundamentals. The second act was unfortunately cut together very well what to do so have had to accept that not everything can be implemented in concert. I found a bit of a shame, because in the end everything went a little oops-hop. Nevertheless threw an entertaining evening and after the show wars still nice because right next to a nice WDR Café is where you could have this beauty can go for a drink.
